一、Frequent problems and their causes;

1. The scale accumulated inside the water tank is the major factor caused the quality-issue of steam generator: the heating elements wrapped by scale that could not distribute the heating caused the damage of the heating elements (similar to dry-heat); the water probe wrapped by scale lead to the dysfunctional of the main PCB, or continuing water filling which lead to the water leaking from steam head or non-heating machines. The accumulated scale blocked water inlet and outlet pipes resulting in the bursting of water tank. The causes of scale formation: water is too hard (with a large number of Ca, Mg ions, alkaline); large power models or frequently used (especially in commercial purpose) machines without automatic drain, and manual drainage is rarely used because of the inconvenient operation, which resulting in the absorption of calcium and magnesium ions on the heating elements while water cooling down, this possibility could be very small if the water were drain out at high temperature, because in this way the scale will be washed out before its absorption on resistances.

2.Mismatching of the reply and resistance brought accelerated damage to them: the started peak current is far higher than the usual current, and steam generator is frequently used equipment, so the quality of the relay is crucial, it is found a lot of defaults of PCB were caused for this reason. In today's cut-throat competition, some of the manufacturers sacrificed the quality of the products to win the price competition, this caused malfunction of the machines. For example, the standard arrangements for a 6KW/220V steam generator using three pieces heating elements (2KW each) with three imported Omron relays, each relay loads 2KW, the normal working life will be 2-3 years; if, for cost saving using two heating elements (3kw each) with two inferior relays, cost only 1/2 than former ones, as overloading the replays will work irregularly even burned, the fluctuated current will also bring negative influence to the heating element as damaged within less than one year.

3. The waiting time is too long to meet the customer need: from initial heating-steam output-reaching desired temperature, the process needs at lease 20-30 minutes, especially for the commercial occasions, it can not meet the customer needs timely so that reduce the customer satisfaction;

4.Energy consuming and high operating costs: it is often happened in the commercial places where big steam rooms with large power machines were built, a lot of users and long working hours. To ensure the steam room could reach the wanted temperature timely, the steam generator was set to work in a long time according to the room temperature; the heating elements work or stop all together, it gives big consuming in both equipments and energy, especially in the unoccupied hours caused big waste.

5. Water refilling and temperature maintaining brought interruption to steam output, affected usage of steam generator: as steam were produced continuously, the water level gradually declined, water inlet valve automatically open and refill, cold water from top make boiling water sudden cooling, and the steam stop, this lead to the pause of steam output. When desired temperature is reached, the elements will also stop working so that appear the stop of steam supply.

6. If the water become acidic (or users add liquid medicine , use contaminated groundwater, etc.), are more likely to cause the surface corrosion of heating elements and accelerate ageing in high temperature. Big power steam generator has big output of steam and higher noise of the nozzle, it brings uncomfortable feelings to the user and fail to meet the quiet requirement.

7. Stainless steel tank leakage caused short-circuit of the PCB made by the vapor: because its costly to check the leakage of the pore from argon arc welding stainless steel which could only be appear in high-temperature with pressure, sample testing is not enough to prevent the quality-issue, so the leakage of water tanks were frequently happened; Also in order to save the cost ,using thinner board (≤0.6mm) to build the water tank is easy to caused the deformation of the water probe based, which can make the probe touched to the wall of water tank and send wrong message to the main PCB;

8. The main PCB control system has no judgment and error correction ability towards the faults caused by unproper installation and usage, and there were not designed functions to the safe keeping of the equipments, which often affect the usual running of the machine even cause more serious damage to the equipment.

9. The socket connection between multi-core control wire and the control panel are not very reliable, and easy to be interfered by unproper installation and humidity, so that could not be used normally.

10. Use the cheap automatic drain valve as the washer machine's, it cannot meet the requirement of steam generator for frequent use, and easy to be interfered by water scale, deposit so that can not shut tightly and shorter life circle.

11. Other external factors such as transportation, installation, environmental humid, voltage fluctuation caused quality-issues -- much elaboration will not present here.

In view of the above points, KeYa company R&D team through the long-term follow-up survey and research, introduce the international latest technology and ideas, after strict approval, developed a new generation of luxury KSB steam generator equipped with KS-300A control panel which reached advanced international level. Its complete design and powerful features make up the above-mentioned defects and inadequate.

1. The design of the water tank adopted new material with large capacity and pressure-proof, specially processed surface makes it strengthened and scale-free, also prevented poriform leakage phenomenon, so that ensure the circuit board work free from the steam influence; the large capacity water tank also gave a better work condition to the heating elements that the life circle of the elements will be longer; the structural design of the water tank seperated steam and water so that avoid boiling hot water going out from the steam head while under pressure.

2.The new developed big volume automatic drain valve has patented technology, it is big in diameter and smoothing water flow, tight shut (10KG), will never to be blocked and durable as well. It is effectively reduce the scale formation on heating elements and water probe, makes inlet and outlet pipes more unobstructed, provides dependable guarantee to the long-term normal working of the steam generator. It is suggested to use the machine with auto-drain function for which need to work two hours continuously or above, power ≥9KW or frequently used machines for the commercial purpose.
